Frigidaire Appliance Repair — Refrigeration Heritage, Practical Repairs
Frigidaire's roots are in refrigeration, and refrigerators are still where we see most Frigidaire calls across Stafford, Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania and Fairfax County. The failure patterns are well-understood: defrost heaters and thermostats that allow frost to accumulate on the evaporator coil, evaporator-fan motors that seize or lose speed, compressor-start components that cause intermittent warm-up, and ice-maker assemblies with failed water-inlet valves or module boards. Each is a contained repair that restores years of service from an appliance that is otherwise fundamentally sound.
When refrigerant handling is required — a compressor swap, a leak repair or any sealed-system work — our EPA Section 608 Type I and II certification (Cert #879041384330) means the work is performed legally and correctly. Refrigerant must be recovered, not vented, and the charge must be measured, not estimated. We do both.
Beyond refrigeration, we service Frigidaire ranges, dishwashers and laundry. Every repair is backed by our 6-month parts-and-labor warranty, and we will tell you plainly if a repair does not make financial sense. Genuine Frigidaire OEM parts on every job.
Frigidaire Gallery and Professional refrigerators on the FGHB2868T and FPBS2778U platforms use a dual-evaporator layout where the fresh-food and freezer evaporators share a single compressor but run on independently timed defrost heaters (316075103 and 5303918301). A symptom of ice forming only in the fresh-food section almost always traces to the fresh-food heater circuit, not the sealed system — a distinction that saves hundreds of dollars in unnecessary sealed-system work. Frigidaire front-load washers on the FAFW and FFTW platforms are prone to control-board communication faults (error E68) caused by a failing door-lock sensor wiring harness; we test the harness before recommending a board replacement. Frigidaire Gallery ranges on the FGGF3059T and FGEF3059T platforms also share a control board that intermittently loses communication with the oven temperature probe, generating an F10 runaway-heat code; in most cases the probe connector has corroded rather than the probe or board, and cleaning the connector restores full function at no parts cost.
- Refrigerators: defrost systems, evaporator fans, compressor components and ice makers
- Sealed-system work: EPA Section 608 certified, refrigerant recovery and recharge
- Ranges: gas igniters and valves, electric elements and oven controls
- Dishwashers and laundry: pumps, motors, heating elements and controls
Frequently asked questions
Are you EPA-certified to handle Frigidaire refrigerant and sealed-system repairs?
Yes. We hold EPA Section 608 Type I and II certification (Cert #879041384330), which covers the refrigerant recovery, evacuation and recharge required for any sealed-system repair. All refrigerant is recovered and measured — never vented.
Can you diagnose Frigidaire error codes like SY EF or SY CE?
We can. SY EF indicates an evaporator-fan circuit fault and SY CE points to a communication error between the main board and the temperature-control board — two very different repairs. We test each circuit individually to confirm the source before ordering any components.
